The primary reason why people search for this type of food is for weight loss. This is how it starts out: 1) People realize that they are overweight because they eat to much calories; 2) common sense tells them that if they reverse the process they will reverse the effects; 3) they start eating less calories but the result is that they are still overweight! Let me clarify this last statement, eating low calorie food will make you lose weight at the beginning BUT at the long run you will end up regaining all of your weight (and more) and cause serious damage to your metabolism. Low calorie food can be harmful if you don't understand your own body. There is nothing wrong with food, the problem emerges when you don't have a clue on how your metabolism handles it.
